Received the following Obit info from Paul Hoffinger
1928 - October 22 1991 Age 63..
Through the memory of Class Secretary, Jerry Chase, and records of St Mary's University, Winona, MN, members of the class of '57 were able to discover that Brother Kevin Felix, formerly Bro. Leo Felix (actually Bro. Leonian Felix), left the Christian Brothers order in the late 1950s, and settled back in Chicago, where Jerry and his wife Marilynn visited him in 1959.
His non-religious name was George Lavaque, and he continued his love of excellence and education, in particular the field of English, throughout an ongoing teaching career. He married and had four children between 1960 and '66. He taught English at Thornton Community College in South Holland, a southern Chicago suburb, and at Louis University (now called National-Louis University) in Lisle, Illinois, a southwestern suburb, both apparently through the 1980s. He lived in nearby southwest suburban Oak Forest.
Around 1985 George had a debilitating stroke, and finally passed away in 1991 at the age of 63. His youngest son, Sean Hannon, has been in touch with the class of '57. Sean says he would like further details of the reunion of our class in which his Dad had a great interest. As we become aware of the details, we might invite Sean and members of the family to meet with us at the reunion.
