The School as we remember it, 1954 – 1957 with the C building to the left.
DeLaSalle High School 2007
The School now with the C Building gone and St. John Baptist DeLaSalle in front of the archway to the Chapel. The Chapel; where we all prayed for better grades.

Our entry into the school of the Christian Brothers.
Crossing the Hennepin Ave Bridge
Who can forget crossing the Hennepin Ave Bridge in the winter with the wind blowing. Remember the steel road bed of the bridge, you could look down into the river below. Thought it was a good idea at the time.
DeLaSalle Addition – 1990’s
Expanding enrollment in the 1990’s prompted building of an addition to the east and north of the original building.

From the Desk of Denny Mickelson |
Class Officers 1957 Class of '57,
It has been a few months since we gathered at Elsie’s for lunch after Christmas on December 30th. We had about 30 guys come on a snowy day.
A few surprises. Tom Sweetser came from Milwaukee for a conference in St. Paul and was able to break away to lunch with us. We should all try to look as fit as Tom is. Roger Hansen just happened to come in from New Prague. Roger is never in a loss for words.
Paul Wojciak almost made it from Hibbing. He and Denny Madden bumped into a guard rail on a very slippery railroad overpass on the way over to Elsie’s. Paul was able to drive the car back to Madden’s but it wasn’t road worthy to return to Hibbing. Paul got the damages fixed and said “I’m heading to Lake Havasu, AZ”. Otherwise the usual gang.
Take a look at the group photo Jim Hogan took. See how many guys you can recognize. Great to see all that were able to come.
Bill Groschen pushed himself in the door on a special scooter to keep from placing weight on his surgically repaired now bionic ankle. Nothing can slow this guy. Bill thanked everyone who donated for shipping his gift packages to the Mad Dog Marines in Iraq.
Elsie’s offered all you could ask for to have our mini-reunions…space, good food & a free parking lot. The ’56 class for the last 40 plus years gathers on the Friday between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. They suggested we join them to make it a full house and renew friendships with them. Let me know if you have any comments on this.
